Debbie has been at Kingsbarn since September 2007 where she joined the team as the Marketing & Events Manager on a part-time basis.  This role soon evolved into a full-time Operations Manager and then in February 2008, she progressed to Centre Manager.

Debbie has a wealth of equestrian experience having owned ponies and horses since the age of 8 and has successfully competed BSJA at both Junior & Senior level.  Her career background however lies in financial services having worked for two of the UK’s biggest banks over a 20 year period.  She learned the retail & business banking basics with RBS then left to join Barclays Stockbrokers where she worked in a managerial roles before progressing to Senior Management with the responsibility of implementing and managing the strategic direction of virtual Training Teams across the Stockbrokers business in the UK.

Debbie was sponsored by Barclays through a Degree in Leadership with Nottingham & Trent University and then moved on to become Development Partner Manager for Barclays Wealth before taking a year off to have a baby.

Following the birth of her daughter in November 2006, and the change in priorities that comes with that, Debbie left Barclays to spend more time at home with her family.

Debbie’s plan for the future is to gain professional qualifications in the equestrian field. The main priority though is to create a successful, innovative and diverse business at Kingsbarn.
